The Brighton Big Dog - powered by Morvélo Bicycle Apparel, is now in its third year! Year one we had sun, fast trails and Paris-Roubaix winner Magnus Backstedt. Year two we had "character building" conditions, podium girls and champagne. Year three? Who knows. The one constant has been the smiles on everyone's faces, the rewarding amounts of positive energy and feedback and 2 years of having a sell-out event. As Rory Hitchens of the Big Dog team once said "It's not a race, it's a movement." An event put on by local riders for no other reason that it's a great excuse to ride, race and laugh come the summer - the Morvelo ethos.

The Brighton Big Dog is a 6 hour race around the ancient parkland trails of Stanmer Park featuring testing climbs and awesome singletrack. Rated one of the best courses in the country and voted one of the must ride events by the likes of Bike Magic and The Guardian. This is still a non-profit race. A hefty chunk of the takings will go behind the bar for the big party in Brighton afterwards for that well earnt drink. Not before you've had a finish line beer courtesy of the award-winning Dark Star Brewing Co that is. The remainder will go to our designated cycling charity.
